Back in the saddle, er, pool

I finally made it to the gym after a too-long absence and hit the pool this morning. I swam 1,500 yards (30 laps) in 31:00. Not too bad, though slower than I used to swim. You really do lose fitness if you stop doing something for two weeks. Needless to say, I’ll be getting back in the pool more often. I can’t afford to lose fitness at this stage!

USA Triathlon is offering a small number of early entries to the Wildflower Triathlon, so I’ll be signing up ASAP!

Workout #2 will be my short/easy run – 2 miles – at lunchtime. 🙂 Have a great day!

    On a side note – do you shower post lunch-time run? I have thought about bringing my stuff downtown with me and getting in a quick run at lunch…but I don’t want to be stinky all afternoon 🙂

  2. I usually don’t have time. I only get 30 minutes for lunch, so I use wipes and baby powder. 🙂 I don’t sweat that much when it’s cold outside and I’m only going 2 miles, thankfully!
